Continuing the family tradition
Mike’s interest and motivation for electrical work naturally evolved as he watched both his grandpa and dad work as electricians themselves.
Given the family interest, Mike had the opportunity early on to gain experience in the electrical field when working part-time for his dad’s business, Ron Lockie Electric, throughout high school. After graduating high school, Mike transitioned into working full-time for Ron Lockie Electric where he continued to sharpen and grow his skills in the field.
Mike eventually decided to pursue his Trades Certificate at Conestoga College, and became a fully licensed electrician in 2013. In the summer of 2022 Mike obtained his Master Electrician, allowing him to branch out on his own and officially register his business, Listowel Electric.

What to expect working with Listowel Electric
Assessing the project
When contacting Listowel Electric for a project, Mike will make arrangements for a site visit to ensure he understands the project and the work required. A quote will be emailed directly to the customer following the visit.
If it’s a job that requires a quick and easy fix, Listowel Electric will do their best to make that happen right away.
Sometimes, there are jobs that require materials not on hand, and in that case, Listowel Electric would work with you to find a mutually agreeable time to fit the job in.
Completing the project
Listowel Electric recognizes some jobs are urgent, and will work hard to accommodate those jobs accordingly.
Listowel Electrical respects their customers and their property when working on-site, and you can expect clean, timely service. Listowel Electric will always provide notice before arriving at the job, and regularly communicate with you to provide updates on the progress.
